The Journey
From Himalayan Peaks to Tropical Wilderness
The Royal Manas Wildlife Safari takes you from Bhutan’s Himalayan landscapes into the lush tropical wilderness of southern Bhutan, where pristine forests, rivers, and fertile valleys create a haven for extraordinary wildlife.
Deep within the Royal Manas National Park, discover one of Bhutan’s richest ecosystems, home to remarkable species such as tigers, elephants, golden langurs, wild gaur, and an incredible variety of birds. For birdwatchers, the forests offer opportunities to encounter magnificent species including hornbills and Himalayan raptors, while the rivers provide opportunities for fishing and other nature experiences.
Beyond wildlife encounters, experience the diversity of southern Bhutan through forest walks, river adventures, local communities, and peaceful stays surrounded by nature. Combined with the cultural and scenic highlights of central Bhutan, this 13-day journey offers a remarkable contrast between Bhutan’s high mountains and tropical wilderness.
More than a safari, it is an opportunity to experience Bhutan’s extraordinary biodiversity, explore its wild landscapes, and connect with nature at its most untamed.
