Morning you will drive up to Sang Choekor monastery from where you will start your hike. The initial one to two-hour ascent through shady forest will bring you to a ridge from where you can get nice view of Paro Valley. About 1-2 hours walk away is the Chhoe Chhoe Tse Lhakhang (temple); which nestles at the side of the mountain. The trail continues and when we reach the last steep elevation we will see a temple overlooking the views of Paro airport and the snow-capped Himalaya. After another 20 minutes of climbing through ruins and fluttering prayer flags, we hike into the ancient forest for about 40 minutes before we reach a wide meadow with sacred chortens and prayer flags. Your home for tonight is in the tent tucked away just under Bumdra Monastery offering views of the Himalayan range.
After a breakfast, you will descent for one to two hours, and then you will catch the glimpses of the golden roofs of the temples below. You will continue to hike along the path before stopping at the garden of the Zangto Pelri( Heaven on Earth). Peer over the edge to see the ornate rooftops of the Taktsang monastery preaching against the cliff far below. Follow a steep descent to a waterfall then up some step and you will reach the Tiger’s Nest itself.
